Since about 2003, Jim Dinkey has served as ongoing Chairman of SIR Area 16 CompuSIR. Jim also serves in a leadership role at SPAUG (Stanford-Palo Alto Users Group for PC). He has been able to leverage this dual leadership to obtain speakers who will speak to both groups - CompuSIR on Wednesday afternoon, SPAUG the same evening.

COMPUSIR is the computer interest group for SIR Area 16 . The group represents a wide range of interests as well as expertise. There are members who don't yet own a computer as well as those with many years experience, both as hobbyists and as professionals. Members' special areas of interest include hardware, spreadsheets, word processing, data bases, genealogy, graphics, investment tracking, tax preparation, electronic bulletin boards, games, and many more.
